Hi everyone (completed/ committed/ potential/ maybe interested/ simply supportive, stars!)

 

This is just a quick pre Christmas note to say a HUGE thank you for all of your support, interest and progress to date!

 

Very briefly as I know that everyone is busy with Christmas activities...

 

 

Headlines:

• We already have 18 people/ families/ organisations committed to raising a star of £1000 (so nearly half way!) 
• We have donations submitted of £1600.00 - there are further imminent donations of £1652.00  
• Many other people have expressed an interest in supporting a star and we will be building on their interest further in the New Year!  
• Potential 2008 fundraisers include: - Boots Manufacturing are holding a June 08 Ball with monies raised being split between Project 40 Family Care and Wish Upon a Star  
• Sporting endeavours look like they might include: Three Peaks Challenge/ Robin Hood Half Marathon/ New York Marathon/ London Marathon  
• 40th birthday donations in lieu of presents  
• There is even a rumour that Katie might do a sponsored 40 day abstinence of alcohol & caffeine (no mean feat for anyone that knows me!!)  
• January 2009 Fundraising Ball to celebrate the Project's success!

 

Finally, I want to acknowledge the support and great work of Adrian Colquhoun who has set up a dedicated website: www.project40.org.uk.

 

We intend to use the website to share news and progress over the coming year. The website is up and running and hosts key information about the project and Family Care - why not take a look!

 

Please note that there is now also a dedicated link to the justgiving.com website which some of you may want to use. For those of you who are not aware, this allows easy online set up, running and progress monitoring of sponsorship for you to personally use to raise your star with friends, colleagues and contacts.
